We have two distribution centres that we use for handling, storage and dispatch of fresh produce. Our distribution facilities are located in Tennyson, Brisbane and Bohle, Townsville. 

 

The Townsville distribution centre was built and opened in 1989. Located in Bohle, part of the Townsville industrial region, the facility originally carried out banana ripening, potato pre-packaging, warehousing, transport to store and distribution of fresh produce for 11 Coles supermarkets in North Queensland. The business has grown since then, and today we purely do the warehousing and distribution function for 28 stores, with plans to expand in the near future, from Moranbah in the South, Port Douglas to the North, Mt Isa to the West and all store in between.

Our Townsville facility was the first fresh produce distribution centre in Australia to be fully temperature managed. The facility is currently 3,000sqm and has a capacity of 45,000 cartons of fresh produce. It is an exciting time for the Townsville facility as we are approaching our maximum capacity and plan to expand in the coming months.
 

Our Brisbane distribution centre is located within Carter & Spencer's 7,800sqm head office. This facility is in an ideal location sitting only 300 metres from the Brisbane Produce Markets. This facility houses the latest in refrigeration and energy management, is flood free, and has back-up power.
